People typically associate bestiality with depictions of dirty farmhands sneaking into stables at night, or depraved groups of thrill-seekers exploiting drugged animals for sexual gratification (like those at Washington state’s animal-sex farm). But for years now there has been another form of bestiality occurring more subtly involving horses: Equine Bestiality.
As anyone who has experienced horseback riding can attest, horseback riding has an undeniably sensual appeal that cannot be denied. Even competitive horsemanship situations such as timed races have an intense sexual quality enhanced by close contact and intimate bonds between rider and animal.
Horse sex generally affects women. In one 2005 case from Enumclaw, Washington, a woman identified as Jane Doe told investigators that Russell Taylor of ‘Sex Women Horse’ asked her for sexual services with her horse; although she refused, he later asked if he could come over and engage in threeway sex with both Jane Doe and her horse at home.
As there was no evidence of animal abuse on any videotapes seized from Taylor’s house, no charge of trespassing was filed against him; however, investigation revealed a variety of sexual acts with horses by Taylor and other males at that address, such as anal penetrations, horseback riding and whipping.
