Cal Kestis, having survived Order 66 five years earlier, finds himself in an unfamiliar situation five years later. His fate becomes intertwined with that of Trilla Suduri, another former Jedi with questionable past who crash lands on an unfamiliar planet where there lies an ancient holocron that holds all future Jedi lives in its grasp – drawing them both further towards power than they ever could imagine before they all end up cohabiting together for reasons none could anticipate or predict. As the dark side beckons them both towards power they both find themselves bound together in ways they cannot comprehend before; lives become interwoven more complex by fate that they could ever expect or predict.
