Pornhub and Beastiality

Pornhub Beastiality

Pornhub shared its site visitor numbers last year and revealed they had over 42 billion visits; that translates to approximately six per person on Earth. Since then, however, they have seen their site visits decline significantly.

In an explosive New York Times article, this company has been exposed for hosting and profiting from nonconsensual child exploitation content and animal pornography, commonly known as bestiality. Credit card processors have cut ties with them, forcing them to increase moderation efforts while having to remove millions of videos that they couldn’t verify were safe from exploitation.

Why does anyone enjoy bestiality? The exact cause remains elusive, given that those who enjoy bestiality also often indulge in other types of pornographic media and a disproportionate number are male. But, one explanation could lie with zoophilia – which involves humans sexually fixating on non-human animals – as opposed to normal sexual relationships with animals.

Some have noted that bestiality porn is less disturbing to watch than regular porn, perhaps due to not including living, breathing humans in its plot. By doing this they can focus on their fetishes without thinking too hard about whether the women in the video want it or whether the men are abusing them; but in any event it remains pornography and thus not safe.
