Girls Do Porn Episode 409 – One Victim’s Story May Help Others

Girls Do Porn videos feature girls sitting on hotel beds and sharing their backstories, such as how they responded to advertisements for clothed modeling jobs but were instead asked to shoot sexual scenes instead. Although they were assured their videos would only be sold through DVD to buyers abroad without appearing online, instead many ended up on Girls Do Porn’s infamous website and quickly spread socially.

Hundreds of women like Lanzafame have filed suits against Garcia, co-owner Michael James Pratt and videographer Matthew Isaac Wolfe over their scam. In federal court they face charges of sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion; specifically being accused of coercing young women – some as young as 16- into having sexual encounters on camera before posting it online through the Girls Do Porn and sister site Girls Do Toys websites.

One of the UO violin performance majors from Poulsbo, Washington – Tamara LeRoy – who survived sex trafficking as an undergraduate is now speaking out and sharing her experience in hopes that others can benefit. She serves as Lane County’s sex trafficking intervention coordinator as well as co-director of local nonprofit Sexual Assault Support Services (SASS).

“Many victims can become discouraged with the lengthy nature of justice proceedings, so having an accessible place where victims can connect with support groups is crucial.” She and fellow SASS staff member Valorie Moser hope to fulfill that role at SASS.
