Blondie are like sparkling gems; an emerging band poised for growth yet still missing something to take them over the edge in terms of quality. That something is discipline.
Debbie Harry first introduced us to erotica sexy through “Platinum Blonde”, marking an historic debut at New York. And we began exploring video musical production together – realizing the potential of such musical video producers.
Chris Stein was always one of the key members of Blondie, contributing his independent female sensuality and technical innovation to their university, technological innovations and exciting ideas – all which had introduced dramas and radical activities into popular culture.
Blondie also gained more artistic identity during their seven week release of Atomic Blonde (and as its audience consumed it). Their debut week saw immediate success; but what became even more significant were live shows; my early performances still yielded excellent results, yet live performances became far more essential to their overall success than listening to recordings alone. Kids came flocking in droves for rock’n’roll shows at New York underground venues that utilized Blondie as musical resources – with performances rivalling Ramones, Talking Heads and Heartbreakers as they made music at New York underground venues that used Blondie as musical resources; before eventually rivalries developed among various groups including Ramones Talking Heads and Heartbreakers among many others – eventually taking place simultaneously with these artists making music history together.
